At Boggy Creek Raceway, the best track in Florida located in Orlando, drivers came from 5 different countries to compete at the 2nd Annual Maxy's Fuel International Nitro Challenge. The 1/8th scale class had 80 entries, featuring drivers representing Kyosho, Mugen, Xray, and Bergonzoni. The track was very big and challenging, with a huge triple jump on the back straightaway.

Qualifying was close with all 10 of the top drivers within 10 seconds of each other. Jared Tebo ended up taking TQ honors in the last round with 0 points. Greg Degani, Scott Hughes, Jeremy Kortz, Ryan Cavalieri, Chad Bradley, Michael Sharwin, Gene Hickerson, Bobby Tillman, and Jason Ashton rounded out the top 10 after qualifying.

In the 45 minute B-main, Ashton had problems early on, giving Tillman a big lead. Borja Hernandez also experienced problems with his Bergonzoni R-1. Near the end of the main, Tillman still had the lead with Jason Rona in 2nd, and Travis Scrambling in 3rd. With only 10 seconds left, Travis made a mad dash to try a pass on Jason by going full throttle through the long whoop section. It worked and he took over 2nd place.

They both crossed the loop just before the buzzer, giving them 1 more lap to battle it out. At the whoop section, Jason tried the same pass back on Travis, but flipped at the end of the whoop, giving Travis's Mac powered Mugen the last bump up spot for the A-main event.

The long 1 hour Main was set. Jeremy Kortz got out to an early lead, followed by Scott Hughes and Ryan Cavalieri. Chad Bradley made a charge to the front and took over the lead from Kortz. Kortz then took back the lead until flaming out. That gave the lead to Bradley, followed by Cavalieri and Degani. Bobby Tillman was the 1st to drop out with problems. Hughes and Tebo also dropped back with problems. Michael Sharwin then went a lap down as did Travis Scrambling. Bradley and Cavalieri battled for the lead, with Kortz, Degani, and Gene Hickerson battling for 3rd place. Kortz and Degani then both had more problems, giving Hickerson 3rd place. With just 5 minutes left, Cavalieri started to run down Bradley for a close battle at the end. Hickerson then experienced mechanical failure, and had finish the rest of the race on 3 wheels. Hickerson had a lap and a half lead over Sharwin. But with 2 minutes left, Sharwin and Degani got past Hickerson's XB8 which dropped him to 5th. Bradley held on to the lead and took the win, followed by Cavalieri and Sharwin.
